Silverline Microfinance Bank of Kenya Limited is committed to equipping micro, small and medium sized finance bank that build a sustainable future through financial education, customized micro-finance training and advisory services.
Established in 2012, the silverline team is highly valued for their skills in market research, project management and policy development. We design and deliver programs which ensure our clients have the skills and knowledge to better access financial services and promote social inclusion.
At Silverline we have an open and energized culture where everyone is able to thrive. We also work with a pool of associate consultants and project teams organized to serve the specific needs of each client.
A policy analyst and financial inclusion consultant, Karanja is the founder and CEO of Silverline Microfinance bank (K) Ltd. His experience spans 10 years in the financial services sector: policy formulation, consumer protection, financial inclusion training and licensing of microfinance institutions.
Karanja holds a Master of Science degree in Development Finance from the University of Reading, UK and Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology from St. Thomas University, New Brunswick, Canada. Karanja have extensive local and international training and exposure in micro credit and international development and is a member of the Association of Microfinance Professionals of Kenya.
Susan is an Investment Adviser and overall Business Development expert. She is inspired by the need to help organized groups, such as Chamas, strengthen their fiscal foundation. Prior to joining Silverline Microfinance Bnak (K) Ltd, Susan initially worked as a Financial Adviser and later as a Relationship Officer.
Susan strongly supports empowerment of women and youth. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio Chemistry from Moi University, Kenya and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in International Development Studies.
